“Babu” means sir in Hindi — a sweet little title that’s been passed down in our family. Since our son was born, we’ve always called him Babu, just like my husband’s mother called him when he was little.
The blue bear in our logo is inspired by baby Krishna — playful, mischievous, and full of love. For us, “Babu” is our own little Krishna, and the bear reminds us to keep that same joy (and chaos) in everything we bake. 🙏

Around here, “from scratch” actually means something. Everything that leaves the oven comes straight from Jo’s awkwardly brilliant brain — the same one responsible for Cardamom Cookies, Carrot Halwa Cupcakes, and Spiced Baklava. It’s all crafted in small batches, with a little chaos and a lot of heart.
We grind our own cardamom powder and use our own home-brewed vanilla just to get our signature bold flavors.
